Hi!

My name is Ania (she/her)

Muscle Into Motion is my soft tissue therapy service based in the Scottish Borders.

I am a qualified massage therapist and a member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage (ISRM). I am also a keen cyclist. I have become interested in how our bodies function and recover after spending long days in the saddle. That led me to achieve a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy from London School of Sports Massage.

I welcome everyone in my therapy room: people of all fitness levels. My clients are ranging from people looking to relieve everyday aches (e.g. from a desk based work), people doing sports, dancers and athletes.

My approach

My treatments combine general massage with deep tissue work, stretching and soft tissue release, to help you regain flexibility. The treatment has therapeutic effect in restoring movement and functionality. It involves assisted stretching techniques on muscle groups that feel restricted. This approach is known as remedial massage therapy, because applying manual therapy techniques is used to ‘remedy’ a soft tissue problem (your muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia).

All bodies are good bodies! LGBTQ + inclusive and body positive massage

My massage therapy is inclusive of LGBTQ + people, people of all appearances, body shapes, body sizes. I seek to create a safe space for you to access treatment without added anxiety. I tailor treatments specifically to your needs, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you wish to discuss anything prior to appointment.

My practice is:

* Body positive

* Blame and shame free

* Gender neutral

* Trans friendly

What do the different qualification Levels in massage mean? by Mel Cash - May 16th, 2017

All awarding bodies (BTEC, ITEC, VTCT, etc) have to use the same criteria when approving qualification Levels and so they must all be equivalent to each other. An L4 qualification at one body cannot be equivalent to an L5 at another.
